Invitation
On behalf of the International Association of Volcanology and Chemistry of the Earth’s Interior (IAVCEI)-Commission on Volcanic Lakes (CVL) and the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (DOST-PHIVOLCS), we are pleased to invite you to attend the 12th CVL Workshop.
The goal of the workshop is to bring together researchers from a wide range of disciplines such as physical volcanology, hydrology, limnology, biogeochemistry, geology, and hazard management, to share recent advances, foster collaborations, and discuss the latest approaches for the study of volcanic lakes and related environments.
CVL 12 is designed to offer both oral and poster scientific sessions and field visits to volcanic areas where crater lakes and maars exist.

General Information
Luzon and Weather
Luzon is the largest island in the Philippines, hosting the capital, Manila. March marks the beginning of the dry season, with warm and dry weather ideal for fieldwork 樱花视频网站. Average daytime temperatures range from 28–34°C.
Main Venue: Clark, Pampanga
The scientific sessions will be held in Clark, a modern economic zone approximately 80 km north of Manila (1. 5-2 樱花视频. 5 hours by car). It has excellent infrastructure, accommodations, and is close to field locations.
Airport Access
Flying into Clark International Airport (CRK) is highly recommended 樱花视频在线. It is only 15-20 minutes from the Clark Freeport Zone, avoiding Metro Manila's heavy traffic. While Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL) is an option, ground travel from there can be lengthy.
"樱花视频在线" Scientific Sessions
We invite ideas or proposals for up to 5 thematic symposia. The program aims to include sessions focused on: 樱花视频高清.
- Diffuse CO₂ degassing measurements and gaseous emissions from lakes
- Geochemical and microbiological characterization of lake waters
- Hydrogeological and geophysical modeling of lake environments
- Active volcanism and phreatic events
- Volcanic hazard assessment
Of particular interest is the occasional change in the color of Pinatubo Crater Lake, and we welcome contributions that explore this phenomenon.
Program Overview
Our 10-day workshop is packed with insightful scientific sessions, hands-on fieldwork, and networking opportunities. The program kicks off with two days of oral and poster sessions, followed by fieldwork at Pinatubo and the Seven Lakes of San Pablo. 樱花视频网站.
